

Hot Melt rubberised systems are intended for buried applications such as podium decks, green roofs, car parks, inverted roofs, below ground work etc.
Correctly installed, they are designed to last the lifetime of the building and have therefore been used on many high profile construction projects throughout the UK.
Hot Melt systems comprise two layers of hot melt rubberised bitumen, 3mm thick, with reinforcement laid between the coats to provide improved tensile characteristics and access to lay the second coat. On flat areas, this is customarily a non-woven polyester fleece.
Protection sheets of reinforced bitumen membrane rolls are installed to suit the specific end use of the area, i.e. a roof barrier fitted prior to layinng a green or garden roof or more robust bitumen membrane in the case of car parks etc. before the final surface finish is applied, i.e. casting a concrete car park slab etc.
