The Colonnade - Bexhill on Sea Heritage Site
Project brief:
Waterproofing System: Polymer modified mastic asphalt system, 500m2
Substrate: Concrete Slab
The existing mastic asphalt system was stripped up and cleared into skips supplied by the main contractor, inspection
was carried out of the existing slab, as a heritage site all works must be checked as works progress all materials must
go back like for like.
Mastic asphalt was installed all as specification 20mm thick waterproofing laid on British sheathing felt followed by
20mm thick paving grade mastic asphalt with a sand rubbed finish.
All upstands have 13mm thick of mastic asphalt dressed to primed walls with a base fillet.
The polymer modified mastic asphalt system was installed as per the specification this was BBA certified.
All works were carried out as a grade 2 heritage site, This is one of many heritage sites Infallible systems has worked
