This system is a complete, liquid resin based waterproofing and surfacing system, offering many advantages over other flat roof systems or hot-applied methods. It’s also a dedicated system, ideal for repair, renewal or new build, using specific products for specific applications – unlike the ‘one size fits all’ solutions typically available.

The waterproofing components – one, two or three-part resins – impregnate a polyester fleece which is immensely strong, durable and tear-resistant, and also provides a clear visual indication that the correct membrane thickness has been achieved.

The benefits of using a liquid waterproofing system include:
There are numerous types of waterproofing systems, which can be used for virtually all waterproofing requirements.

  • Inert to UV degradation
  • Bridges cracks
  • Permeable to water vapour
  • Allows old roof repair without removal
  • Resistant to acids, alkalis, petrol and oil
  • High tear-resistance
  • Fully fleece-reinforced
  • Adheres to almost all substrates
  • A seamless, light-weight membrane
  • Weather resistant after 30 minutes
  • 20 year materials warranty for new work

There are decorative anti-slip systems for balconies, walkways and flat roofs, which are available in several colours to suit your needs.
From roofs to waterproofing showers, balcony and walkway coatings liquid systems offer a viable solution.
We can raise comprehensive site reports and specifications in conjunction with all of the major agents.

We are installers of many systems including Centaur, Kemper, IKO, Bauder and Langley.

Hot Melt waterproofing systems were developed in America 40 years ago, and are now known and used worldwide because of their versatility, simplicity and durability.

Hot Melt is combination of refined bitumen, synthetic rubbers, fillers and other additives, designed for structural waterproofing systems and are intended for buried/inverted roofing applications such as podium decks, blue and green roofs, car parks, inverted roofs, below groundwork etc.

Correctly installed, they are designed to last the lifetime of the building and have therefore been used on many high profile construction projects throughout the UK.

Hot Melt systems comprise layers of hot melt rubberised bitumen, 3mm thick, with reinforcement laid between the coats to provide improved tensile characteristics and access to lay the second coat. On flat areas, this is customarily a non-woven polyester fleece.

Protection sheets of reinforced bitumen membrane rolls are installed to suit the specific end use of the area, i.e. a roof barrier fitted prior to laying a green or garden roof or more robust bitumen membrane in the case of car parks etc. before the final surface finish is applied, i.e. casting a concrete car park slab etc.

The benefits of this system are:

  • a tough, self-sealing systems which is flexible to most construction movement,
  • full bonding eliminating water tracking
  • lasts the lifetime of the building

The water can be harvested and used for non-essential water supplies.

Green roofs can also work as an air filtration system (purifying air), Infallible Systems fully trained installers are constantly training, to keep up to date with modern standards and ever changing, increasing demand.

Green roofs are capable of thriving on pitches up to 60°, they can either be sown planted (trees, shrubs etc) or installed fully grown. A sedum system is the cheapest and most widely used Green roof to date.

Green roofs can consist of fully grown sedum installation – sedum medium installation or cut and plug, tress, shrubs, bushes and plants.

Brown roofs work on the same principle as the Green roofs but use locally sourced growing medium usually to maintain a local specialised habitat.

Roof resistant membranes must be part of the installation.

Man safe installation.

Outlets and drainage

Lightning conductors are all considerations required for Green roof systems.

Best practice guidance will refer to FLL Standards.

Traditionally a three-layer roofing system of felt in roll form which is bonded using the roll and pour method using hot bitumen. The top layer often has a mineral or spar finish as protection.

There are now many variations on this using a variety of high-performance synthetic materials, self-adhesive backings to eliminate the need for flame, single layer, fire retardant and hybrid systems. New materials offer a full range of systems giving durability, flexibility and reliability. Manufacturers can provide a full specification for each situation which ISL can install.

Felt is an ideal choice for:

  • Rear extensions
  • Local Authority housing
  • Garage Roofs
  • Apartment Blocks
  • Main House flat roofs
